Daugherty Family

Our Daugherty Family immigrated to America in the 1790's through Baltimore and it's thought that they may have migrated from Ireland to Germany, then came with a group of Mennonite followers.    They settled in Pennsylvania for a short time and then moved to the Shenandoah Valley in Rockingham County, VA..   Valentine Daugherty and his family migrated to Mineral and Hampshire Counties, Virginia (now W. Virginia)   George W. Daugherty migrated to Fairfield County Ohio where they raised their family.   Later, he and his wife Maria followed their son Thomas Benton Daugherty to Jefferson Twp., Huntington County, Indiana

Gundy Family

The Gundy (Von Gundy) family were from Baden, Durlach (Germany) and our ancestor Peter Von Gundy came to York County, Pensslyvania.  From there, they migrated to Fairfield County, Ohio and finally to Huntington County Indiana.  Our ancestor, Peter Gundy settled in Jefferson Township and his brother George Washington Gundy in Jackson Township near Roanoke.

Ruble Family

Our Ruble immigrant was Ulrich Ruble born in the area of the Bavarian - Swiss border in 1710.   He settled in Bucks County PA and from there the Rubles migrated to South Carolina.   They followed Quaker settlements to Highland County, Ohio, then to Randolph County Indiana.   Our branch, the Jonathan Ruble's eventually came to Huntington County, Indiana settling near Plum Tree.

Hubartt Family

Most of our Hubartt Family originated in the Guilford County area of North Carolina.  The Hubartt's spent a short time in Franklin County, Indiana before settling in Salamonie Township of Huntington County not far from Plum Tree.   Many of the Hubartt family were ministers and  scattered as they were called to serve various congregations.
