Welcome to My Family Roots David L. Daugherty

Older generations often handed down family history from one generation to the next.   In today's world, that is not so common, so younger members of the family are often left in the dark when it comes to family roots.

In 1999 I hosted a reunion for my father, Haskiel L. Daugherty and his first cousins and their families.  These were  the descendants of Thomas B.  and Florence Gundy Daugherty and the descendants of Aaron S. and Della M Hubartt Ruble.

In 2000, I hosted the cousins of my mother, Martha K. Holmes Daugherty.  These were descendants of Evan T. and Louisa E. Myers Holmes and David T. and Clara E. Davis Chaney.

Much of my information was gleaned leading up to those reunions so some of the data included on this site is as much as 20 years old.   I have started updating information with the new resources available and will refresh this site as I get more data.    Please contact me below if you have questions, suggestions or corrections.
